Linux: 2.2.15 adds more MediaGX support
Kernel upgrade advisory for those running Linux on WebSurfer Pro

New MessageLinux: 2.2.15 adds more MediaGX support (modified 0 times) Vlad
Looking through the Linux 2.2.15 Release notes at http://www.linux.org.uk/VERSION/relnotes.2215.html , I noticed that support for the Cyrix MediaGX chipset is improving. In this version, some more Cyrix virtual DMA workarounds are implemented, as well as an UltraDMA driver for the MediaGX chipset. Let's hope this one works better than the Windows UDMA driver! =P Those of you who are running Linux on your WebSurfers (or are planning on doing so) should consider upgrading the kernel to this version.
