I'm currently having some problems with my HotRod66 IDE controller on the PCI bus. I cannot install Abit's drivers for it, or else Windows hangs on bootup. I'm considering the Promise controller, but it seems some people are having mixed results. Also, I wouldn't mind going with an ISA IDE controller, but it would have to be able to support drives larger than 8.4GB in size. I would appreciate any feedback regarding what IDE controllers you guys have been successful with.
