I have an IO VER 2 with minor epoxied bios, new in box I want 2 websurfers (modified 0 times) Mikeeee Well, the topic syas it all. I bought 2 IOs, one to modify, and one as a back up in case I screwed something up. Well, no screw ups, yet, but I am interested in modding the websurfer. The IO is a Ver 2. The unit I modded needed the goop removed from the bios, and then reflashed. You can get all the info about that from the IO board here. This unit has never been opened and is sealed in the box. I am intereted in getting 2 web surfers for the unit. Yes, I know, people think that it may not be worth it. If you feel that way, cool, I don't need to hear it as I know that you are out there. If you are interested in trading, let me know what you propose. I want at least 2 of them. If you want to work something out with shipping, hey great. (Insured shipping too, no fried i-opener when I get it because you messed it up) The websurfer is 2 times better than the I-opener. it is far easier to modify, and is more useable.. The popularity of the Websurfer has come and gone while the I-Opener is still going strong. The Websurfer is OK but the BookPC puts it to shame. I also noted that my price was that the other person pay shipping, but that is was first come first serve, and that if I got nop better offer I would consider it. Next time read the post carefully. As far as which one it better, I guess that is a matter of taste, and how inept you are at hacking. Yes the IO is harder to hack, but with the built in screen, I think it totaly surpasses the websurfer. I just wanted a stab at the WS, and my wife, after seeing my IO in my car, wants an MP3 player also. There is no way I am gonna give her an IO as it is a little too much for MP3's. I figured a WS would be perfect. Again, if you like the terms of the deal, great. If not, no biggie, I certainly won't lose sleep over it.
