I know there are plugins for winamp to allow remote control and also to display the song title and other ID3 info via a external LCD screen. Can anyone point me to a page with the information on the LCD screen and necessary plugin please. As to the remote, I know there is one that works with some X-10 remote control. Are there any that can be programmed to work with any remote control?
And, for you hackers with more knowledge on the WebSurfer than I have, a few ideas: has anyone looked at the IR protocal of the keyboard, is it possible to use that built in IR sensor to receiver remote control signals from an additional remote control and read them via a Winamp plugin?
Or, has anyone taken the keyboard apart and figured out what controller chip it uses and modified a remote control with that same chip to work with it?
Also, I know that the original manufacturer (who's name escapes me at the moment) of the WebSurfer sells a handheld remote control as a manufacturing option; has anyone found a source for these, and a price (hopefully not more than the websurfer itself) Thanks | |
