|that IS a websurfer! GCT-allwell http://www.gct-allwell.com makes these boxes for lots of different uses (websurfers, embedded linux machines, etc.) if you really wanted to order one, I bet you could just call up customer support (listed on their site) and a single-serving friend would|
be happy to sell you one for a few hundred bucks! what these are, are ws's without anything removed. websurfers had 1/8" sound out jacks
and RJ45 ethernet removed, and the hd pins removed to save money when websurfers were made 10,000's at a time. these probably have the full board, add a hdd controller and a drive and you-got a fully hacked websurfer. (since you probably have onboard IDE and NIC, you have 2 free slots too!)
it's kinda cool to be able to order them like that, but I'm sure they want some jacked-up price for it. (remember, ws's were $49.99 assuming you sign up with their service and were $199 without it.) I'm sure they want even more money than that. interesting none-the-less though.
here is their number for cust-support if you
wanna call them. post anything you find out.
