My apologies. Yes, I formatted the drive using format C:\s and even sys'd the drive after just to make certain that it was bootable, with a Win98SE command.com file. Also, in fdisk, I set the drive as the active partition. Then I copied my files (OS, Drivers, BIOS flash, etc.) to the hard drive. In DOS and W98 both, all files showed up and everything. When I try to use the Promise Tech Ultra 33 card in the WSP, I get the BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM AND DISK AND PRESS ENTER. The HD I am trying to use is a Toshiba 2.5in 340MB hard drive, model MK2326TC. Anyone think it might be a power issue? Would I have to run a separate power supply to power the hard drive? I would hate to have to do it, but if it's the only way I can get it to work, then it will just have to do. I also had an interest in installing a Western Digital 600-something MB drive in it. I took the power cord off of a Powerleap adapter that was non-working, and I jammed the ends in the connector on the power supply, so that works fine. Any help is deeply appreciated, as I am eager to get my WSP running for Network MP3 and AOL Instant Messenger purposes. | |
