I can use picture-in-picture to see both video and datastream. Make sure you include file transfer software (ie Laplink} on the DOC so you can xfer new files to the WS when necessary. 04-15-2001 00:46:03

RE:Can 2 Seriel Ports Be Added to WS? (modified 0 times) By-Tor Profile I've added the second serial chip and the header from my WS-MOD kit and all seems well. I am a bit confused about the extra surface mount chips that were included. The kit came with 6 resistor packs, a strip of two resistors, a single resisitor, and a strip of 8 chips. I know the resistor packs and the strip of two are for the IDE header and the single resistor is for the IDE LED. Are these extra 8 chips soldered to the 8 solder pads surrounding the serial header? I know that they are not "Required", but I might as well use them and at some point I might need to make a long serial cable run. I'd just like confirmation on the other strip of 8 chips.
