i bought two websurfers. no ws pros. they have no isa slots on them. i need to use them for emulating and they have the one com port on them. there is a 40 pin ide cable on the board. can i solder on the second com port and use that ide slot to add files to the doc? thanks joe

Having never seen a non-pro version, I'm not sure. You indicate there is one COM port available. Assuming the modem uses a second com port, you could in theory remove the modem and make that your second com port.

Please post some detailed digital photos or scans of the motherboard and I'm sure someone here will be able to help.
