I have the Linksys USB adapter, running on 98SE, and I can transfer about 10 megs at a time, but if I try to transfer anything much bigger than that, it gets slower, and slower and then times out.... I've even gone so far as to divide large files into .RARs so that it might hopefully ease transfer, but still I get eventual non-working state from the USB adapter... I have to unplug it and then plug back in before I can see the network again... Any thoughts?

Has anyone found a fix for this problem? I am using the same USB network adapter [linksys 10/100] and am experiencing the same problem. Does anyone know a 'generic' fix for a USB network adapter experiencing network timouts when transferring large amounts of data? I can transfer as much as I'd like *from* my websurfer, but if I try and write too much to it's disk (around 10megs or so, as was stated) it chokes. Any help would be much appreciated.
