I'm looking at try to cut a hole in the side of the WS case and sticking in an internal laptop cd-rom. (Very thin and doesn't use much power) What kind of converter would I need to get the connection of an IBM Thinkpad to an IDE connection?

I think you're SOL on getting an adaptor for a Think Pad cdrom drive. However, there are a number of other brand laptop drives that use a standard 44 pin connector...You need a 44/40 adaptor to connect to a standard ide cable. Mine came from a CTX laptop...Wasn't cheap....As soon as I figure a way to cut a neat looking hole in the right side of the case, I'll have a working internal/bootable cdrom. When mounting anything over or in the vacinity of the p/s, extra cooling fans are a must.

I think you're looking for the kind of converter that comes from wires, solder, hard thinking, and time.
