trying to boot off the internal IDE
trying to boot off the internal IDE

New Messagetrying to boot off the internal IDE (modified 0 times) ssimpson
I've made the modifications for the internal IDE. added the two 1K resistors and shorted the resistor packs pads. enabled internal IDE.

if the drive is set to master the bios can't detect the drive. this is with either the flashdisk in or out.

if the drive is set to slave the bios detects the disk as drive D: (with nothing for drive C:). this is with either the flashdisk in or out.

it won't boot from the drive on the internal IDE.

any ideas?

found it. being a western digital drive I had to remove the master/slave jumpers entirely when it's a single drive. now it boots up as C:
