Well, manually setting the drive parameters didn't work.
I also tried a quantum 3.3Gbyte drive. And hey, it got the cylinders correct. But it still doesn't boot. Still get the operating system not found, press enter message.
All three drives do have Win95/98 on them, and were formatted and used on a computer with a motherboard extremely similar to the WS. Same manufacturer, tatung, nearly the same bios. In fact, the motherboard is a T1032 and was based upon the MB1030 in the WB.
Has anyone been able to boot off of the internal IDE with the shipped bios?
If so, what drive (maker, model), which OS, and did you do anything special to get it to boot?
