PiGod
I had to have the machine relearn my hardware in Windows 98 (by deleting all the items in the device manager) before my USB ethernet would work. Installing Windows from scratch on the machine *should* be even better.
Did you move a hard drive over that already had Windows 98 installed on it?

PiGod... what USB network adapter are you using? I've had no luck with my Linksys 10/100. It chokes when trying to transfer large files and/or a large group of files to the Websurfer's hard drive. I'd appreciate your feedback!

HiRez...
Although my USB is currenltly problematic, there was a point at which I couldn't install a driver at all. I then upgraded my BIOS to the NEW OEM bios available at Diversity's site: http://www.geocities.com/d1v3rs1ty/
Try that, and let us know how things go.

Ok PiGod... from another post of yours I see that you're using the Dlink USB adapter. Have you thoroughly tested it by transfering to and from your Websurfer both large and small files and/or groups of files? That's where *my* problem lies. If the DLink passes the test, I'll go exchange my Linksys for it... the DLink was even cheaper :)
