Can you guys tell me if this thing will indeed support higher than 8.4 gigabytes? It says on the front of the box that it's got an 8.4 gig limit, but I hope that's not the case. Can you still use a drive greater than 8.4 gigs, but partition it into 8.4 gig chunks? I'd greatly appreciate any feedback!
Thanks,

Used that card with my 10 GB Maxtor DM Plus 40 with no size limitations/problems.

Unless I don't know what I'm talking about, the drive controller you use should have absolutely zero impact on the system's ability to access large drives - that limitation is imposed by the system BIOS. Of course, if you have one of those really cool 15 year old 8-bit IDE controllers with a built-in BIOS, you may run into problems, but... ;)

Hmmm. I used one of those CUSA isa adaptors with a Maxtor DM+ 40gig drive. I had to use the sector limiting jumper in order to get the system to recognize the drive. Seems like the only problem is that scandisk craps out on the second (38g) partition.
