The resistor packs I have access to say 560 (or 095 upsidedown?) Do you think these will work for onboard ide enabling the wsp?
FYI i found them from my dual slot 1 motherboard. It has a spacer for using the board in single processor mode. It has about 30 resisitor packs on it . The board works without the spacer (although I hear the spacer gives added stability) so it is extra parts.

Yes, they should work. '560' means 56 x 10^0 = 56 ohms (the last digit is the multiplier.)

Awesome. I will probably perform the mod tonight. 1 more question... I can desolder the resistor packs, but I prefer cutting them (they look like an exacto-knife job), do you think that cutting the contacts is a good idea? Sorry if this is a RSFM post.

as I recall
Cutting the contacts is BAD. The way that that surface mount works is that the flat parts if the component contact "float" in the solder. If you cut the contacts you put pressure on the pin itself which can lead to failure. It's better to heat and GENTLY lift one side at a time.
