Is it possible to get a linux image on the Disk on CHip?

possibilities
-Use a parallel port zip drive
-FTP

I was actually thinking along similar lines...

might be easier, quicker & dirtier to attach a zip drive than jamming a HD in that case =)

There's more info on this in the "DiskOnChip Kernel Support (Compiling) " thread further down the board.. also there's some usefull info in the Iopener areas regarding sans chip LEM linux distro...

Once someone gets a good LEM setup working on the DOC, they could use the dos utilities to create an image file, and then distribute it that way. You'd just have to get a HD with dos, the DOC utilities, and the image, and you could just write the image to the flash. This way, you wouldn't have to go to all the trouble of manually patching your kernel to be able to access the DOC from linux.
