BIOS Flashing Blues

New MessageBIOS Flashing Blues (modified 0 times) El Barto
AGH! This sucks! It still will NOT flash my BIOS. I am using awd761.exe and newbiosm.bin which is 262,144 bytes, and it keeps giving me this "The file size does not match!" error. What could be wrong? I gotta flash this damn thing.

You're booting directly into DOS, not a DOS window within Windows, right?
That's the same bin and exe that I used with
no problem. The only thing I can think of
if you're already booting to DOS is to
download the zip file again and try a fresh
copy of the bin.

Yeah, directly into DOS...and excuse my ignorance, but exactly how do I check the MD5 checksum?

I updated my bios last night without a hitch.
Did you issue the command as follows:

awd761 newbios.bin /py/sn/cd/cp

Things seem a whole lot more stable since I updated the bios. The websurfer splash screen is gone, replaced with a real bios startup screen.

I'm having the same problem as the original poster. When flashing the bios, I get the error message "The file size does not match!". I made a backup of the original bios, and I even get the error message with it. I tried all three of the bios files in the zip from diversity's site. Same error message. I'm trying to use a pci ethernet card instead of a usb adapter. Windows installs the pci nic ok and everything, but it just won't work. From reading other posts I think I need to flash w/ the oem bios (I'm not using onboard IDE, yet) but I keep getting that stupid error message "The file size does not match!" No solutions for the original poster were given, nor has he/she posted any status updates. Help, please...

Thanks,
