If you're trying to stuff a laptop cdrom into a Surfer (its possible), you would probably be better off getting one that had a std. 44 pin setup. A propriarity connector such as on this IBM, would be difficult to cable. Many laptop cdroms use a connector exactly like a laptop hard drive, making the install very easy. If you use a small hard drive these small cdroms can be fitted on the right side, partially over the power supply. If you're careful you can cut a hole in the case. It looks ok...works fine.
