Check this out! I jumped across 1-2 3-4 4-5 6-7 (near the board power connector and the daughter board) to enable the two PS/2 ports and get this, after you restart your WS, check the BIOs and goto "POWER MANAGEMENT SETUP" and volia!
Maby this is why some people where having problems getting their mice to work? Well Im having a blast with this project Just wanted to post incase some people didn't know. Enjoy

You shorted all the pins on the 4x2 header in between the power connector and daughter board?

Yes, using jumpers from old floppies, and CD-ROMS sitting around.

Are you using just the stock bios? Or have you flashed with a newer one? Either way, thanks for noticing, this should help a few people out.

This is still my original BIOS. I didn't want to flash because I have heard mixed feelings on that subject, also, it works fine the way it is, I dont have/need and PCI cards too. Although I would like to get rid of the crappy post, and have a regular post...ah well. Thanks.

I just flashed to newbiosm.bin.
Everything went well and is running great including my PCI NIC.
I formated & sys'ed the DOC in win98, copied newbiosm and utilities to DOC.
Disabled onboard IDE (which is what i'm using) in BIOS & unplugged HD.
Booted to DOC and flashed per another thread.
It went well, and the WebSurfer splash is gone, much better POST.
I'm having FUN.
