hmm... maybe someone can provide some insight on this one, It is a "websurfer" but not the
websurfer we're all familiar with. It uses an
intel 486 Dx4-100 proscessor and has 8mb of ram, 4mb flash, 33.6 modem, wireless keyboard, and handheld remote control. ports look like svideo, composite, vga, printer, and some other ports. wonder if it's hackable. a bit slow for any real use, but
it could run mp3's or play quake1. It doesn't
have any USB ports but it has a parallel port. It's probably not worth the time messing with it, but as of now, there are 6 days left on the auction if anyone wants to buy one and mess with it. (I think it would be hard to get IDE in it though (parallel port hard drive???) posting as a curiosity only.

oh yeah, the ebay auction address is http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1203045290 note: I am not advertising this, I'm not the one selling it.

Looks like just a similarity in the naming. The trademark for the websurfer we have is WEBSURFER PRO.

The previous version of the Websurfer was a 486DX4/100 box, and that's probably what's available on the EBay auction. The Websurfer Pro is a much better system, of course, but it doesn't show up much on EBay these days.

not really, I just won an auction for a wsp today (paid $73 for it, but it's not that bad of a price considering that
they are almost impossible to find in stores now).
