I considering putting an IO in my truck and i want to put a very fast booting OS on it so i can have it up and running before i'm at the place where i'm going. I want to use it for music and GPS navigation. The GPS software that i want to use runs on windows but i suppose i could try to get it to work in Linux with WINE. So i'm willing to concider other OS's other than Windows. Can anyone post their experiences with boot time in different OS's?
