When you take out the DiskOnChip out of the socket, MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHICH WAY IT GOES BACK IN. Two people have already fried theirs! (Hint, if you pop the cover off the DoC, the text on the chip is apparently inverted with respect to the text on the cover of the DoC!

Look at the DOC lable. Notice the half circle on one end? Match that up with theindentation of the socket.

dumb question, but im trying Not to break the unit... does the DoC just pull out... or is there a magical way?

Slide a flat-head type screwdriver under the DOC Chip, and then slowly lift the thing with even force. That worked for me.
