I don't have a problem soldering, but I don't have the tools or the knowledge to debug missing components on a motherboard. If Roastbeef could figure out how to add a second USB connector to the i-Opener, surely he (or someone like him) could figure out what needs to be done to add the missing RJ45 connector. That would sure make it a better box for me, and I'm thinking alot of others too.

why mess with it..? if you have WIN98se or even 95 you have usb support.. there are plenty of cheap usb to ethernet converters out there..
Actually win95 doesn't support USB (far as I know)

Actually USB support of 95 is in version C 4.00.950C. Also refered to as OSR 2.5.

Yeah, I too will probably use a USB NIC, but it would be really cool to get it working without the external dongle if for no other reason than to do it. Still trying to figure out a really slick way to get the cable from the base of my IO to the USB port on the back of the display unit. Too bad those legs aren't a just a little thicker and hollow.
