| I've located the exact part to populate the audio connectors at the left rear of the system board: These are subminiature right-angled, PC-mount stereo jacks available at Halted Specialties (yes, they do mail order) for 89c each. The store is closed today, but I will get you their stock number tomorrow. Three of these are required: Mic, Line In (?), and Speaker.
I was also able to get SMT ferrite beads in 1206 size from the same store, but they're slightly large (it's possible to solder these with some difficulty). You need six of these. I'm still looking for the same items in 0805 or 0603 size. The inductance value is unknown, but generally unimportant, since it is for RFI suppression only. I used 1.5 nF 0603 SMT chip caps for the 6 capacitors in the same vicinity. Again the value is largely unimportant.
This will facilitate hooking up to audio equipment and also for internet telephony applications. | |
